A great way of shipping and storing items and goods is to use foldable plywood boxes. Plywood is originally a building material and is widely used because of its many useful properties. Ply is a created, engineered wood product which is made from three or more glued together thin sheets of wood. These logs, that are used to make plywood, are prepared by steaming or dipping in hot water. After that, they are pushed into a lathe machine which peels the log into thin stashes of wood. Each ply is typically between 4 and 1 mm thick.
Foldable plywood boxes comes in a variety of forms – ranging from small unit solutions to large solutions with up to several separate pieces. They are also combined with galvanized steel profiles that perform just like strong hinges. The foldable boxes and crates can also be approved by IPPC, which means that they comply with phytosanitary regulations.
Different versions of boxes and crates
Box A consists out of only one single collapsible piece: button, lid and frame are attached to each other which simplifies handling and storage. The Box A is especially suitable for small to medium sized products and items.
Box B consists of three sections: button, lid and frame. It is delivered completely flat to save both shipping costs and space. The B Box is, just as the A box, suitable for medium and small sized goods.
The C box consists of six sections: button, lid and four loose sides. The design of the C box allows full access from all sides for loading and unloading, offering complete flexibility while packing. The C box is especially suitable for large products.
Finally we have the D box which also consists out of six sections: button, four loose sides and lid. The design of the C box allows full access from all sides for loading and unloading, offering complete flexibility while packing. The D box is especially suitable for large products up to 20 cubic meters.
Engineers are able to customize the design of these foldable boxes with the help of specialized software and consultants with experts on these very products. The engineers also work continuously in order to minimize damage of products and goods and to reduce the overall costs. The plywood boxes are made out of plywood combined with galvanized steel profiles working as hinges. They take minimal storage space as they are delivered flat.
